Region Midtjylland

DIAS and Access to X-ray Images

DIAS (Dynamic Infrastructure for Applications and Services)

KvalitetsIT collaborated with Region Midtjylland to establish a unified DevOps platform, built on a microservices architecture with a security-by-design approach.

The objective was to shorten time-to-market for new solutions while ensuring consistent security, operations, and maintenance afterward. Region Midt has subsequently built an organisation to take over the platform and manage further development, and they are well underway in this process.

DIAS has focused on addressing the challenges common to all projects handling sensitive personal data, and doing so in a faster and more standardised manner across all solutions:

  • Delivery process: Faster, consistent, and automated deployment.
  • Security: Security-by-design, with security implemented once and decoupled from business functionality.
  • Logging: Standardised and consistent application and audit logging across IT systems.
  • Monitoring: Uniform and standardised monitoring of operations and applications across IT systems.
  • Reporting: Standard usage and operational reports and tools for generating new reports across IT systems.
  • Configuration management: Configuration management, essential in a microservices-based, multi-vendor environment.
  • Operations platform: Integrated scaling and deployment strategies.

Access to X-ray Images (PoC)

In collaboration with Region Midt, Siemens, and Philips Forcare, KvalitetsIT provided chiropractors access to Region Midt’s X-ray images. This was accomplished using applicable standards, including IHE XDS, XCA, XUA, and SAML security. KvalitetsIT handled technical project management, security, and testing.
